Spring is just around the corner and downtown Dayton is celebrating with an all-star First Friday lineup.

Downtown Dayton Partnership is hosting March First Friday: Slam Dunk Edition this Friday, March 4 starting at 5 p.m. across downtown.

“Grab your jersey and lace up your sneakers this First Friday,” stated the First Friday website. “Downtown Dayton is getting ready for all of the fun and excitement that comes with teams hitting the hardwood. Businesses are already getting ready to shoot and score and are offering up a wide variety of things to do downtown this month. With so many local businesses to dine, shop, and watch the games, downtown Dayton will be a hot-spot for off-court action.”

Here’s the rundown of all the action happening Friday, according to the DDP:

Don Coulter’s “The Seventies Groove” (2020) is among the pieces featured in the African American Artists Guild’s “Black Heritage Through Visual Rhythms,” which is on display at the Dayton Art Institute February 24 through May 22.
